Prior to attending the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, Johnny was already an accomplished guitarist, playing with numerous bands in the Los Angeles area. He also played guitar at various concert venues and Las Vegas casino resorts, including The Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Shoreline Amphitheater, Harrah's Casino, Pechanga Casino, Mandalay Bay, Caesar’s Palace, and MGM, for Asian crossover pop artists such as Coco Lee, Chang Hue Mei (A-Mei), S.H.E., Show Luo, Rainie Yang, Chang Yu, Cass Peng, Alex To, Huang Ping Yuan and Hsiao Gang just to name a few. Numerous of Johnny’s guitar solos and arrangements were included in albums released in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Since 2006, Johnny has been expanding his music career to composing for TV and film. Johnny's most recent work as a composer and guitarist were featured in several 2007 releases such as Labou, Flight Of The Living Dead (European Release), The Final Season (U.S. release date 10/12/07), the Japanese Animation The Highlander(DVD), Valentine (CW TV show), and One Step (Documentary).

Currently, Johnny remains busy as a freelance composer, session musician, and recording/mixing engineer. After studying with acclaimed mixing engineers such as Grammy Award winner Charles Dye (Ricky Martin, Jon Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez), Johnny hopes to introduce his unique arrangements and mixing techniques to Chinese pop music.

從好萊塢著名Musician’s Institute 畢業前, Johnny已經是一個成功的吉他手。過去曾在著名的會場如

Mandalay Bay 、凱撒宮 (Caesars’ Palace), Pasadena Civic Auditorium 和MGM, 為頂尖藝人如李玟, 張惠妹, S.H.E, 羅志祥, 楊丞琳, 杜德偉, 張宇﹐小剛﹙周傳雄), 黃品源等彈奏。此外, 他的吉他彈奏也被收錄於臺灣和香港發行的唱片。

2006 年起, Johnny逐步地擴大他的音樂事業, 開始為好萊塢電視和電影配樂及混音。他的吉他彈奏, 配樂, 及混音在幾部好萊塢電視劇及電影如Labou, Flight Of The Living Dead, The Final Season, Brotherhood, Valentine, One Step 等都可以聽到.

值得一提的﹐Johnny也是擁有Digidesign Pro Tools HD 7 認證的操作員( 音樂製作/後期處理), 也是得過葛萊美獎的混音工程師Charles Dye(Ricky Martin, Jon Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira) 的得意門生.
